The Jung Hotel originally opened in 1908 as an investment for Peter Jung Sr. The hotel expanded significantly in 1925 during the “Jazz Age” with its live music offerings and became one of the most prestigious properties on Canal Street. Through the years, the hotel’s most famous attribute was its rooftop Tulane Ballroom which paid homage to the hotel’s namesake A.L. Jung Sr.’s alma mater.
