The original MILLSAPS BUILDING was built by Major R.W. Millsaps, noted Mississippi businessman, church leader and philanthropist, and for whom Millsaps College was named when it was chartered in 1890.
The architect was R.H. Hunt of Chattanooga,Tennessee. It was Jackson's first "Skyscraper".
The first fllor of the building was originally a bank lobby, with 16 foot ceilings and an ornate interior in keeping with Greek Revival design.

The building was completely refurbished in 1988. At that time it was converted to a commercial condominium. We are offering for sale the condominium designated as Unit 1.
