fence and the east boundary is a north-south egress road to

• The Port of Santa Teresa (P.O.S.T.) is the fastest growing
international crossing in the U.S., with major development
landmarks in the last ten years. A $10 million expansion was
launched in 2011 to double the size of the previous infrastructure.
• $1.3 billion per month is the total value of trade of the products
that pass through the Port. A cattle crossing to the east passes
$200 million worth of cattle a year.
• Three miles northwest of the site, a vast intermodal facility is
under construction for Union Pacific which has begun with a $400
million outlay. The fueling and train-to-truck station is due to begin
operations in 2015.
• Directly across the border from P.O.S.T. is the massive plant of
FOXCONN, a computer-assembling plant with 7,500 employees.
• The surrounding area, Santa Teresa, New Mexico is a
developing,planned community on the US/Mexico border adjacent
to El Paso,Texas.
• It is at the rim of the El Paso/Juarez metropolitan area, one of the
largest and busiest international metropolitan areas in the world.
• Largely due to the twin plant, or maquiladora, industry and the
implementation of NAFTA, the area is teaming with international
commrcial activity.
• The Santa Teresa Port of Entry was created with the aim of
relieving current congestion at the international bridge crossings in
El Paso and Juarez.
