CEO Todd Graves opened the first Raising Cane' s in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996. The first location outside of Baton Rouge was opened in 2001 in Lafayette, Louisiana since then, new restaurants have been opened in Mississippi, Texas, Colorado, Georgia, Ohio, Oklahoma, Nevada, Alabama, Virginia, Kentucky, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Nebraska, in addition to all 8 metropolitan areas of Louisiana.
